Orange County Museum of Art - Free Second Sundays

The Orange County Museum of Art is free the second Sundays
of the month, and is currently featuring the works of Alexander
Calder, above (image via OCMA)
This Sunday admission is free to the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach. Every second Sunday the museum holds what they describe on their website  as "the best [way] for Orange County families to spend time together enjoying art."

Festivites take place from 11 am to 4 pm, and the theme for this Sunday will be "California Road Trip," where the state's diverse terrain "from desert to ocean and valley to mountain" will be explored, with a little help from the The Boy Scouts of America Orange County.

In addition to the ongoing exhibit of Alexander Calder and Contemporary art (see his work above), there is a schedule of events for children, with ongoing art projects, storybook reading, shadowbox pupperty. Adults can take a public tour and learn why the OCMA is considered "the premier visual arts organization in Orange County."
