Cavemen and carnivores alike, rejoice in the bounty that is the Orange County BBQ Bonanza. Taking place at the Fountain Valley Recreation and Sports Park (which is located on one side of Mile Square Park), the event begins today and runs until Sunday.

From 5 to 10 pm, the cost of admission is $5, and comes with a redeemable $2 rib coupon. And even better, admission is free today and Friday when you bring a business card (check the website for details and restrictions). There will be country music, dancing, drinks, live sports tents as well as arts and crafts at what is being described as "the largest drinkin', dancin' BBQ-eating' Festival - right here in Southern California!"

For those who like BBQ and first-class accommodations, you can pay extra for admission to the VIP Rib Village, which includes special seating, service, plus all you can eat ribs, salads, sides, and dessert. Oh, and all the beer, wine, and soda you can handle.

The rest who choose to “slum” it can still have a good time sampling the food and voting for some of the best BBQ grillers in the country, with a whopping 500 awards collected between them.
