OC Was Born This Way!

About a week ago, I read in the OC Weekly about a pastor from Aliso Viejo who released a video called "Homosexuality in High School." Just like you imagine, the pastor, Bobby Blakely of Compass Bible Church, describes homosexuality as a lifestyle that one is "trapped in." And who can break you out of that lifestyle? Why, Jesus of course!

The video, (which was posted on YouTube and has since been taken down) includes high school students Tyler and Patrick, who confessed they used to be gay until they read the bible, and in the words of Tyler, "realized [being gay] wasn't a choice for me anymore."

In response to the video, students at Orange County High School of the Arts went all Glee on Compass Bible Church by having an impromptu Gay Pride Day, where they danced to Lady Gaga's "Born This Way."

The description of the video reads:

This event took place at the Orange County High School of the Arts, where everyone is accepted for who they are. After a negative video on homosexuality, our school responded with a "Gay Pride Day" where everyone wore rainbow attire and danced to Born This Way by Lady Gaga on our campus. We believe in acceptance. We believe in love.

So the pastor's video may no longer be up,  but the kids are alright and you can view their celebration below:
