Still Trying to Find a New Year's Resolution?

If you still haven't decided on what your New Year's
resolution is going to be, there's lots of ideas to be had from
Orange County
Have you started working on your New Year's resolution yet? Or are you like me and haven't gotten around to actually making a New Year's resolution yet? Either way, there's lots to choose from around Orange County, here's a few that caught my eye:

Get Healthy
Not surprisingly, losing weight or getting healthy is the number one resolution people make every year. Still, despite all our determination actually going and signing up with a gym just doesn't sound too appealing. Not too mention resisting the temptation to stay curled up in bed on a chilly morning rather than go out for a run.

Why not ease yourself into healthiness at The OC Mart Mix? Starting on the first Saturday in January, this marketplace will be featuring a "Health and Wellness Day", where you can shop for local, organic produce, talk to fitness trainers for nutrition advice or practice complimentary yoga with professional instructors. There are also chefs who perform demos for healthy cooking, reflexologists providing free hand massages, and lots of prizes. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

Get Inspired
If you're looking to learn something creative, Laguna Beach offers art instruction at My Artist Loft. Choose from digital photography, Photoshop Elements, or painting, offered in courses that range from a day to eight weeks. And for a short while (real short, like only a few days), Amazon Local is offering a voucher for digital photography classes. Choose from one or two courses that go for four hours.

Get Down
Want to combine all your resolutions by getting fit and and being creative? Try taking some dancing lessons - if you're in South Orange County, try Bumpin Ballroom in San Juan Capistrano - they promise to be "everything you're looking for." Classes for couples, singles, seniors, kids - they'll even help you choreograph a dance for your wedding. Taking into consideration your busy schedule, classes are set up to be about 45 minutes long, in a big group social setting to help you get rid of any stage fright.

If you're in North Orange County, you can try Atomic Ballroom in Irvine - Atomic Ballroom organizes its classes according to dance style - so you have your choice of Swing, Ballroom, Tango, Salsa, and Country. You can also take classes geared towards getting in shape, so maybe this is the chance you've been looking for to cha cha those extra pounds off.
