It's the Great (OC Park) Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

This Saturday is the Great Park Pumpkin Harvest
in Irvine (image via OCGP.org)
It wouldn't be Halloween season without a pumpkin patch somewhere, right? Well, how about a Great Park Pumpkin Harvest?

On Saturday, the Great Park in Irvine will be having a pumpkin patch, a hay maze, carnival games, and of course, it's now-famous train ride and petting zoo to celebrate the autumn season.

The event takes place from 10 am to 3 pm at the Balloon Park (just follow the big floating pumpkin balloon). Admission is free, but parking is $10.

Enjoy the cooking demonstration, the arts and crafts, treat stations, and pumpkin decorating and carving demo. There will also be a scarecrow exhibit, where local companies and organizations will test their scarecrow decorating talent in a competition voted on by attendees.

Before you leave the house, bring a couple cans of food! Community Action Partnership and Second Harvest Food Bank will also be at the event accepting donations to stock our local food banks so everyone can have bountiful harvest in the upcoming holiday season.
