Elvis Found in Fountain Valley!

A real Elvis impersonator will be visiting
Fountain Valley in part of its Concerts in the Park
series (photo from the FV website)
Well, o.k., more like there's an Elvis impersonator performing Thursday at Fountain Valley's Sports Park. Part of the city's Concerts in the Park series, the concert takes place 6 p.m.

Raymond Michael, the faux-Elvis in question, is fresh from finishing a tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of the real Elvis' death. He's performed at Knott's Berry Farm, various Six Flags parks, and of course, Las Vegas. Raymond also teaches chorus and musical show production at Moorpark High School, for which he's won many awards.

At 5 p.m., non profit groups will on hand to give information about volunteering and offer information on their activities and projects.

Kinda a cool way to spend an otherwise uneventful Thursday night - bring some wine, some sandwiches, and be serenaded by the King himself. Or as close as we can get in 2011.

The event (and parking) is free and open to the public.

For more information, visit the city of Fountain Valley's website.
